Or go the African way - on a walking tour through
out vibrant
townships, including a visit to our Rastafarian
community. Or learn to play one of those African drums
at the drum
cafe!
With the sheltered lagoon in its midst, Knysna is
also the perfect place to go diving
to those shipwrecks that didn't make it through The
Heads (The Heads? - Those sandstone cliffs that guard
the narrow entrance of the warm Indian Ocean into
the Knysna Lagoon).
Or take your loved one on a sailing
trip through The Heads, while sipping
champagne and feeding each other locally grown oysters.

If you've been active enough, it may be time to go
the beach. Wonderful, almost empty, sandy beaches
are waiting for you at Brenton-on-Sea, Buffels' Bay,
at Noetzie, Sedgefield or Wilderness. There is more
beach than you can cope with...
And there's more... We haven't told you about the
wonderful day trips to the Tsitskikamma National Park,
Storms River, (do the Treetop
Canopy Tour while you're there) and Nature's
Valley. Or driving the Seven Passes Road to George,
on your way to the Cango
Caves and ostrich
farms in Oudtshoorn. Or an 'animal day'
at the Knysna
Elephant Park, visit a nearby game
farm and a visit to Monkeyland
to finish it off.

Or may be you would like to explore
the superb golf courses this area has to offer: the
local Knysna Golf Course, the ever-challenging Pezula,
or the newly built Simola.
Within an hour's drive you will find Fancourt
in nearby George or the Plettenberg
Bay Country Club or Goose
Valley in Plettenberg Bay. For more info
on the golf courses or tee-off times click
here or send us an e-mail.
We've tried them all! |
